Speech therapist
Tips from a speech therapist of KM school:
- Create conditions for the psychological and motor development of the child.
- The child’s speech development begins to take shape from the first weeks of the baby’s life. If the mental and motor functions of the baby are formed according to the age norm, then speech will be formed in time.
- Develop auditory and visual analyzers.
- From birth, stimulate your baby’s auditory and visual perception. The more analyzers (hearing, sight, kinesthetics, taste, tactile sensitivity) are involved in the formation of speech, the better for memorizing and reproducing sounds, syllables, words.
- Keep in mind that a child may not always be able to do what we ask.
- Children’s speech development has critical periods during which it is difficult for them to follow the instructions of adults – to treat carefully the speech defects of your children.
- Keep in mind that not all children have the same articulation abilities to make sounds.
- Children imitate the sounds of their native language only when their articulatory organs are ready to reproduce a certain sound. Take your time – consult a speech therapist.
- Help and encourage the child in the process of speech therapy correction.
- Remember that speech is the last in the process of ontogenesis, and for a successful speech, your child needs to grow up healthy and happy.
